Binary groups removed from Astra

I used to download from several binary groups from Astra but I notice they have been removed. Requests to restore them seem to be pending or perhaps theyare being ignored. Does anyone else have the same experience?

I noticed that too. And set up a ticket. This is the reply I got from them about 2 days latter.

We have notify our supervisors and they shall look into this issue as soon as possible. Thank you.

I tried submitting a ticket and also got the same response.

Unfortunately it's been 5 days and the missing binary groups have not been restored. I can't ask for progress because my ticket got closed.

Maybe I should wait a bit longer and then resubmit a new ticket.

It's four days later and I have had no reply or action from Astra.
Has anyone else had more luck from Astra with their missing binary groups?

Remember when Astraweb was the best usenet provider there was, and even had a guy who came into here to help out? No I can't remember either it's been years now...

Yeah, Steve is no longer with Astraweb. We don't have any direct contact with them anymore. And service has been spotty according to user reports.

We've been pointing people to Usenetserver, they are offering Newsbin users unlimited accounts for $10/mo and they've been very reliable lately.

If you use this link we get a few bucks back if you sign up with them: https://usenetserver.com/newsbin/?a_aid ... han=LNKUNS
