What are you trying to do? In Newsbin there are really 4 different kinds of filters.

1 - Subject Accept

2 - Subject Reject

3 - Filename Accept

4 - Filename Reject.

Subject filters apply to the display. So, you can filter things out when you display a listing of posts or only show things that match the filters. Filename filters apply after download.

Filters you add to "Accept" will only permit matching things to show.
Filters you add to "Reject" will reject anything that matches.

For example. Lets say I want to filter out all JPG files when I look at a group.

1 - I create a new filter. Call it "Images".
2 - I add "[.]jpg" to the "Subject Reject" list.
3 - When I load the group. If I select the "Images" filter. It'll hide all lines that contain ".jpg".
4 - If I assign the filter to the group. It'll filter images every time I load the group.

I can then add more filters to images if I want to.
[.]png
[.]jpeg

"[.]" Just meant . because . has a special meaning in the filter language.

Let me know what you're trying to do and I can be more specific.

I'm not understanding exactly. I understand that you want JPGs so, creating a "Subject Accept" filter with "[.]JPG" in it is a good way to start.

I don't understand the second part.

I don't need the jpg files in which name is standing p.e abcd

I would download from a newsgroup all files wtith the extension JPG
I don't want the filenames which contents the letters ABC

All JPG files except the files with *ABC*.JPG

A filter with an Include bur also an Exclude

In the "Subject Accept"

I'd put "[.]jpg" without the quotes.

In the "Subject Reject" I'd put "ABC.*[.]jpg"

"ABC.*[.]jpg"

Means "match ABC plus anything in between that ends in [.]jpg"

You could also add this to the "filename reject" too.

If you make this filter profile, then load the group. You can apply the filter from the filters dropdown and see if it does what you want.
