Sort by size does not seem to be working

I have 32 news groups and over 3000 files to download. Some times to get the number of file to download down it sort by size and let the thing go hog wild for a while. But in V6 it does not work right. I starts down loading file that have multiple files, that are large and the small single part files come after. This is even after I have verified that I have it sorting from small to large.

By the way I love the new look and layout. Just took a bit to get the download window to attach to the gui.

Thanks for all you hard work.

I just installed B4 and it seems to doing just fine. One question though I have some posts that are listed as 0 files, X pars all the other files for the par2 file are there. I did a quick par on them manually and no repairs were need. Why doesn't newsbin notice these files belong to this par2 and move them to appropiate directory?

Thanks for all you hard work.

I know I said that sort by size seemed to be working in B4, but I was wrong. I it is sorting multi part posts with 0 files, x pars at the beginning of the download list when sorted from smallest to largest. This is must a minor thing as the number of 0 file, x pars is small. But I thought I should tell you.

I just checked on of these par2 downloads and when I go to properties on it, it list all the files that go with it. But it still says 0 files, 6 pars in the size column. There are 159 files listed in the properties for the par2, but none are being download as part of that compacted download list ( for lack of another way of putting it ).

Thanks

Not getting the issue. "0 files and 6 pars" is perfectly normal for compacted par groups that have no data files in them. When those are encountered, only the first par will download. Then it wait for more files or for you to do something manually.

It seem that newsbin knows about the data files as they are listed in the properties for the par, but not listed in the compacted par group. I can deal with them but it would be nice if newsbin did it for me. Like download the data files listed in the properties and do the par check/repair then move them to the rar decoded directory. I figure properties knows the files it would not be that hard to get them all together and this whole thing worked out.

I know I'm kind of being a pain reporting all these issues, as I see them but then you wanted Beta testers and you get what you paid for
