Duplicate Spool Folders?

Postby DeadSerious » Fri May 13, 2011 2:23 am

I don't think this question is particular to any version, but I'm using V6, so I'm posting it here. I've notice in my data folder, I've got two folders named SPOOL. One is SPOOL_V1 and the other is SPOOL_V6. I thought the V6 one corresponded to Version 6, but then where does the V1 come from? Inside each folder are subfolders for all my groups. Is one set duplicates (and therefore delete-able)? I'd like to get rid of one set if possible, since each set takes up about 25 gigs of space.

The Spool_V1 folder has headers in the format used by the Newsbin 5.5x series. It can be deleted if you no longer intend to use the NB5 version.

I figured it was something along those lines. (The V1 instead of V5 threw me off, though.) Thanks very much for confirming!
