Losing New Custom List If NB Crashes

Just an FYI. When creating new custom lists if News bin crashes any lists created since opening are lost. Unlike Header updates that seem to be okay as long as the DL was complete. Any possibility of making the Custom List auto saved when it is created? If someone else already posted about this sorry I missed the thread.

Hit the save button. Second button on the toolbar. The data's not lost, just the label in the custom list.

What's making it crash?

I think I need to reset the GUI. I should have done that when I loaded RC3. It crashes at times when I click to close a group while downloads are running.

Header downloads? That might be a real problem.

I don't remember if it was headers or actual files. I will try to recreate the crash. If I can duplicate it I will post exactly what was going on. It seems like it was regular files and closing trying to close a group I had just looked through. Don't take that as gospel as I am running on very little sleep last night. Sick puppy had me up all night. He's worse then a kid ...

The problem has repeated. Earlier I had a search open, the wish list, one group, and one custom list. Had started downloading files and then went to close the custom list when I did it crashed NB. I did make a screen capture of the crash, but all it really shows is what was open and the crash message. I restarted and let it run the download.

Just now I opened up a regular group. Selected articles from the list and started them downloading. I then went to close the open group alt.b.sounds.lossless.country and it crashed NB.

I am going to run memtest on my machine to make sure I do not have an issue there.

Ran memory test through 2 passes with no errors. System is stable with other applications, but as I mentioned I will reset the GUI when I load the next release.

I've not been able to reproduce it. Tried several times. I do believe it's a problem, just one I can't fix till I can make it happen here.

Laughing ... it's just like that pesky issue that happens all the time till you take the care to the shop and it stops before you get there. Shop tests drives no problem a day or two later the issue is back. I'm sure it will happen eventually or something else you do in working on things fixes it. Appreciate the fast replies as always. The save config button resolved losing the newly created file and it's just a minor thing to restart it. After all we are working with a beta.
