if post duplicated and dlded par stays paused

Postby jmakov » Tue Jul 12, 2011 4:41 pm

Downloaded a post of about 10 files which has been marked as already on disk, but the par remained paused in the download list.

the problem is not with this particular one but that it will happen several times. and after several hours there will be several pars on top, paused from which i can only guess which is the consequence of detected duplicates. that i can then check by hand with quickpar presumably one by one. a whole solution would be nice...

Delete them too.

If the files didn't download then, there's nothing for Autopar to do. The pars sit there till you delete them. The pars are waiting for files that never download.

Are the signature matched files sitting there in the folder or have you moved them someplace else? If they're sitting in the folder, it will find them and add them to the par files waiting for the files. It checks for the files before it checks the signature. If you've moved them out, it won't be able to find them so, the signature match just prevents the rest of the download.

Signature matching is a blunt instrument. It basically stops autopar in it's track as you've found here.

quickpar sees 100% completion but the progress bar is 1/4 full. if there were 5 files like that no problem, i'd check and delete them by hand. the problem is there are +100 files like that. if i can run quickpar on every one and quickpar gives green light, couldn't that be automatized?

I mean, the signature matches could be coming from 5.X so, the files it's matching on don't have to be there in the folder. Why are you getting signature matches? Are you downloading the same files over and over again?

sometimes same files are reposted (many different posters post same file)
