Read Post shows no marking

Read Post shows no marking

When a text post is red (Ctrl-R or right-click:read-post) the status remains Idle/New. I would like it to be marked as downloaded, so I can see which text post I have red.

People complained about it marking them old.
I have an action item to make it optional but, haven't yet. One work around, is to hit the "Del" key before you Ctrl-R or read.
