Removing unneeded files from download set

I downloaded something that had some corrupt files (for whatever reason)

I would like to be able to re download specific parts i.e 18, 25, 27, 29

I wanted to re add the NZB file, and then selectively remove all the parts that i don't need, leaving only the files i wanted to re acquire

I used to do this all the time on the "old" version of Newsbin, but now it seems it's no longer possible. I also can't select the files i want to give priority to, and just move them to the top of the list. It doesn't seem to work

Can someone please tell me where i am going wrong? I'm a pretty savvie person, and this is baffling me

thanks

I think the problem is that you are trying to re-add a complete compacted set. As you ahve found once you ahve done this Newsbin maniuplates the set as a unit.

To do what you want, load the NZB file into a post list and then click the '+' to expand any compacted item. You can then add just the items you want as individual entries to the Download list. You will also be able to move these items up/down as you want. From past experience you should also first remove the corrupted copies of the files you are trying to re-download from disk so that Newsbin does not think it has already downloaded them.

You can't do it with the new 6 version....what a pain it has become...
Pretty, yes, but some things were changed for the worse IMO.

Try the following:

Have newsbin paused.
Don't know where you are getting your NZB from, but you need to select only the files needed and then create a new NZB with those files
See the loaded NZB or files and choose Bypass filters
Unpause newsbin.

I'm probably going to add the ability to delete individual elements out of the compacted set. The thing is, this might break autopar. That's why I was reluctant to do it.

I've worked out how to do it now, it's not difficult. Simply load the NZB file then selectively add the files you want to download to the download list. Works fine

Yeah that too.
