Upgrading to V6

Postby toiday » Sun Oct 30, 2011 10:44 am

I've been using V5 and just now upgraded my computer to Win7 and installed the latest version of Newsbin Pro. I have a couple of questions:
1 - I did save the configuration from my previous Newsbin. However, I don't know how to load the configuration file I've saved.
2 - The "Download List" tab shows the list of the files to be downloaded. On the old version, when a file is downloaded, it's removed from the list. Therefore, the list gets shorter. Can I make this version do the same thing?

That covers how to move an install to a new computer. If you skipped the spool/data move over and don't care, you can just re-download the spool again, should that be something you do. The short answer is: you can move your old nbi to where you want it, then double click on it, that makes it your new nbi file.

Files are removed from the download list when they complete successfully. Sounds like the posts you're talking about didn't, check the logging tab for a message to figure out why.
