I have Version 6.55 Build 3334 x64

I use a free server to retrieve headers, but since few days i can not do it anymore Image link not allowed for unregistered users
And wondering why!
I have reg. version of newsbin, and i dont know what can it be.

Server is 91.223.220.236 with no username or password, and port 119.

Thing is: I can download groups from server.
That means the connection with server is maded, right?

But i can´t retrieve headers.
Error message is:
Code: Links not allowed for unregistered users

How can I fix it?
Thanks in advance

Carlos

That's a networking error not a server error. I wonder if the server is just slow so the connection is timing out?

What security software do you use? It's possible the security software is blocking the process. It's also possible the server is broken somehow.

im just using ms security esentials.

And i tried to download with altbinz from that server and it download fine.
So the problem is something with newsbin? windows firewall is blocking?

I don't know. You could try checking "Disable XFeatures" in the server options. Then restart Newsbin.

I've never seen MSSE block Newsbin in any way. I'm leaning toward network timeout from a slow server.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DJI Interprises\Newsbin50\Settings\RecieveTimeout

If you add this to your registry as a DWORD and set it to 240. That'll change the receive timeout to 4 minutes. The default is 30 seconds. I'll bet it's just a slow server issue.

I think it´s the server because i tried with another server and the headers was downloaded fine...

Thanks Quade!

Hasta la vista

I thinking changing the timeout would fix it though. Free servers tend to be slow servers.
