i still use one of the latest version 5 releases.
reason being, when the next new one arrived i installed it and discovered that all my carefully sorted newsgroups - sorted by type had rearranged themselves alphabetically and nothing could be done to alter it.
simple question - does the current latest version allow sorting of the newsgroup list to whatever order you fancy?

No, they're still alpha sorted. You can generate more folders and split the groups into header groups though. Since you control the name of the header groups, you can control the position in the alpha sort that way.

Dex always bugs me about the putting D&D ordering back in but I haven't done it.
