chunk cache increasing but no spam

Hi, chunk cache is increasing gradually, but I am not getting spam (changed over to watchlists and accept filters). I am not seeing large downloads of headers, just a slow increase in chunk cache, up to 26 now, stopping download has no effect. This just started after I changed to download filters, etc. Any ideas? I have deleted the Import folder contents as you suggested elsewhere. Cheers!

The chunks folder and chunks cache is unrelated to header downloads or spam. If you're talking about the number in parens, it does represent the number of GZ files to import.

Could be it's stuck.

1 - From the options "Open Data Folder"
2 - Move all the GZ files out of the "Import" folder. One won't move.
3 - Exit Newsbin.
4 - Delete the one GZ that wouldn't move.
5 - Move the rest of the GZ's back.
6 - Start Newsbin.

If it's stuck, this process should unstick it.

Thanks, that works to unstick it. This has just started occurring and happened again, the same group again. I had to go through a number of passes to eliminate the files it was stuck on. Any idea what could be a root cause, and is there anything I can do further? I have actually reduced my header downloads with accept filters so volumes are less, not more. Regards

If it's always the same group then the group is probably under attack and you need to look into filtering out the header download.

Kinda long discussion of it here. Make sure you're running 6.73RC2 when you set this up.

Worked like a charm
Fixed my issue with one of my groups.
Thanks
