Special Characters in File Name Prevent Download

I'm trying to grab 3 files that the original poster put a slash into the filename. NB 6.72 says "Download Failed: Filename is missing from the post. It might not be a file." The other files from the same poster do not have slashes in the name and downloaded fine. I can not find any workaround for this. How can I either bypass the check or override the file name that NB will save the post(s) as?

I'd give the 6.80 beta a try. It's here in the forum.

Thanks Quade. I grabbed the beta and was able to successfully download the 3 files. The AutoPar process did not work, however. In fact, Quickpar does not recognize the 3 files downloaded as being part of the par set, even when I manually "add" them to QuickPar. In my case I had no errors with the downloaded files but I can see this would be an issue if any of them were incomplete.

Thanks again,
Scott

Great. Yeah if Quickpar won't see them then it's unlikely Newsbin will see them either.

One of the changes in the new beta is that it's more aggressive about where it finds the filename from.

I spoke too soon. The files I grabbed are all .flac audio files. The 3 that had the special character in the file name were captured, but they do not have valid Flac headers in the file and are unplayable.

Sounds like they were just generally screwed up then.
