How does Newsbin store the most recently used search terms?

I moved Newsbin from my Win7 to a new Win10 and now the pulldown box for the search term is always empty.
I have the same version and .nbi on both machines. (v6.80 build 5058)
For example, when searching for qwerty and jpg on my W7 PC, they both are in the pulldown, but on the W10 I only see a very narrow empty box.
I searched inside a lot of files and the Windows registry for "qwerty". Nothing came up on the W7 PC, but it must be stored somewhere (probably encoded).
Is there a setting in Newsbin to turn on history or is there some W10 security type setting I need to change?

GuiItems.db3 in the user tree. Makes me wonder if there's some permissions problems preventing Newsbin from writing the file?

Thank you very much.
That gave me the hint I needed. I found out the GuiItems.db3 file was corrupt. I downloaded a db3 viewer and it said the file was bad. After replacing it with the original file from the W7 PC, all is well.

I think somehow it was modified as I was figuring out how to change the appdata path user name that I did not realize Microsoft forced on me at Window setup time. That issue had some permissions problems.
