Password protected files are not being bypassed.

Just upgraded to version 6 from version 5. When I installed, I assumed all previous settings would carry-over. The last version I had would skip/abort any file that was password protected and move it to the "failed files" tab. Now this new version is downloading everything (even with the setting specifically toggled to not do it). Am I missing something? Is there a workaround? Forgive me if the solution has been posted. I scoured this whole section and couldn't find anything related to my issue.

Thanks

How are you downloading? Headers, Search or NZB Files?

Sorry, not sure how to answer your question. I'm a novice at this. I use either nzbindex or binsearch to search for files, I "check" the ones I want to download, and then an nzb file is created. I open the nzb file on newbin and all the files that I "checked" appear on the download queue.

Right so you're using NZB's then. Can you tell your search site not to supply encrypted files? The issue is that NZB files are always downloaded. With the assumption, if you sent and NZB to Newsbin to download, you really want it to download.

I'm thinking about making that optional again in a future version.

One site that I use provides the option to "Hide Spam" and "Hide Passworded" from search results, but it has never really seemed that reliable at doing that. But, my previous version of Newsbin did a good job of sending anything that got through the website search filter that needed a password to the "Failed Files" tab before it downloaded the whole set. This new version downloads the whole set and then when I try to unrar it, it asks for the password.

I'm probably going to make it optional in the next beta.

Would you also please consider an option, that duplicate NZB's are *not* downloaded? Even if loaded manually, or when placed in an NZB watch folder.

I'm pretty sure in the latest beta that the dup detector applies to manually loaded/autoloaded NZB's. It's only Sonarr provided NZB's that bypass filters. I'll have to verify it though.
