Mp3 Folder Mode

Hello...the mp3 folder mode hasn't been functioning lately for some reason. I upgraded to the latest beta in hopes that would resolve it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Is there an adjustment I need to make with the upgrade that I'm not seeing? I apologize if someone has already posted this, I looked through the list and didn't see anything similar.

It seems to be working. I download and the files end up in folders named for the ID3 tags. If you have some specific examples you can PM them to me to try.

I tried it on another computer and it worked normally. Could that mean an issue with the nbi file?

If it's not enabled on the computer where it's not working then yeah it could be an NBI issue. Is it possible one set of files has pars and one doesn't?

Not sure, but I ended up removing the nbi file and letting Newsbin create a new one. I had to set my server up again and readjust my preferences, but it does seem to have fixed the problem. Thanks for helping me think out loud! :)

Guess I spoke too soon...my downloads were getting put in folders, but the folders were being named from the nzb file and not the ID tag within. Also, anything else I download is getting put into a separate folder, which I don't want. I figured out this is due to the $(NZBFILE) definition in the "Download folder for downloads from NZB files" of basic settings. I clear that out, and I'm right back where I started. Also, when I restart the program, it repopulates the info I just cleared.

EDIT: Ok, I think I'm starting to see what you were getting at in earlier replies. Lately, downloads I've been acquiring from a certain NZB site have mostly been packed in RAR files. When they get "un-rared" at the end, Folder Mode isn't able to sort that out properly. When I download nzb's without RARs (just straight-up data files), the function works as intended. Looks like that's where the problem lies. Perhaps that's something that can be ironed out in future builds? If not, I can keep working around it. Thanks for all your patience with me on this.

It would have to be a new feature. Normally most things that are unrared are untouched by Newsbin.

Bumping this thread...
I just installed v6.82 Build 5142 after rebuilding my computer and switching to Win10 from Win7. Per http://help.newsbin.com/index.php/V600- ... me_Options, there are a total of eight different options to be checked. However in my setup, I only have six, with the one I'm used to: Filenames Modifications/Folder Mode absent. Has this option been completely eliminated from the current version, or is it hiding somewhere?

I really liked the hierarchy of having everything categorized by the group it came from. Thanks for the help!

Ok, nevermind! I just found the path variables to make it work!
