I had downloaded 13gig and had 20gig to go. I exited Newsbin and it started from the beginning again.

Is this over multiple days? I wonder if the automatic data folder purge purged the partial download from the chunks folder? With RAR files, typically there's only one or two rars to resume. With some large files posts as just chunks without RARS, the files are resumed from the chunks folder which is automatically purged when the contents gets a couple days old. That's why the timing matters when resuming from chunks.

Multiple times and only with large files where i have loaded the nzb manually.

It's usually only a few hours between when I close Newsbin Pro and then start it again too.

You kind of implied this is happening with NZB's that you sent to the post list first and then fed to the download list. As I've mentioned before, modern NZB's need to be sent directly to the download list for reliable downloading. I'm not completely clear what you're seeing or if it's related to this.

Is it really large files or large sets of RAR files? A large file is a single say 10gig file. A set of RARS files would be maybe 10 500 meg rar files. The reason this matters is that the resume completely differently. Newsbin writes partial downloads to the "chunks" folder in the data folder when you exit Newsbin. I guess the question might be whether it can save the files or not.

When you look down at the "cache" line on the status bar. What numbers is it showing?

They are typically 100+ rar files abut 200MB in size.
