Key bindings to be added?

Postby Wildfire » Mon Mar 21, 2011 5:23 pm

I have noticed there are no key bindings yet (like CTRL-G for downloading the latest headers and CTRL-L to load headers). I assume this is a function that just has not been added yet?

What version are you running? Probably not the latest.

Ctrl-L works fine for me.

Not seeing any shortcuts not work. You might want to exit and then delete Workspace.xml from the data folder.

Hmmm, strange. But I'll go ahead and delete that file. I assume that the layout settings will be erased after deleting workspace.xml?

(well, I'll delete that file after the current huge download has finished :))

Deleting workspace.xml does, as the filename suggests, remove the layout settings. So what I did is take the <shortcuts> section of a new workspace.xml and place that in my previous workspace.xml (replacing the old <shortcuts> section). This way, the layout remains the same and the key bindings now work just fine! :)

Nice. My layout is simple so, it takes 2 seconds to get it back when I wipe the file.

You can also in the latest beta add custom key bindings via the Customize feature View then Customize then select keyboard and select the command you want to customize.

Be aware that if you wipe the xml file you will lose any customizations and will have to re-add them
