Speed dropping to almost zero

Postby videoed » Fri Mar 25, 2011 9:10 pm

I don't know if this is an issue with beta 7 or coming from somewhere else. I have been using 5.59 since it came out and have had consistent speeds of 22-24 Mbps. Installed B7 and on first try it ran at 24, but then when I shut it down and restarted, it would start at 24 and slowly work it's speed down to almost nothing. Reinstalled 5.59 and now running a 22Mbps. Even did a pc restart. No difference.

made sure your firewall/virus scanner is ignoring the new version?

every time I install a new version, I need to set symantec's internet security firewall to allow newsbin pro.
It seems to recognize the executable changed, and defaults to auto, which blocks.
When I remember to go back and set to allow, it works much better.
