Is it possible to link RAR's to your installed Virus Prog so they get scanned and checked before NB assumes it's a Viral Payload? Downloaded a RAR set that contains a few EXE files and got the 'Viral Payload' message but the files are clean so it's actually more a False Positive and a bit misleading! I disabled the Spam Filters because it stops me downloading those types of RAR sets, and what is the 'Advanced' button for as it does nothing when clicked?

To Newsbin, any EXE is viral. You might simply have to disable this filter if you download programs. Newsbin makes this decision on the first 600K of the RAR file so, there's nothing really to feed to a virus scanner. Because V scanners are reactive, meaning they don't work on new threats, I'm not sure how much faith I'd have in them in this instance anyway.

That said, I'm not averse to changing the wording.

For some reason in the release the Duplicate detector doesn't seem to be working, Use Duplicate detector is checked and it will not fail dupes, like previous releases.

Might be broke. I'll check

How are you adding to download? Do the downloads have a Star icon? Star icon means they're set to bypass filters.

Nope , No star Icon and the duplicates end up in a subfolder in my download directory called UnRB***.tmp and the 1st one downloaded is in the them main download path.
Adding by NZB Autoload.
Icon is Blue with check mark for the dupes.

Yeah, temp folder is intentional. It prevents one unrar from overwriting another.

Yeah, wording is a bit misleading as NB will say ANY exe is viral then. I suppose it's a good alarm where you're downloading sets of images etc and some jerkoff poster infects the rars with .exe or .scr!!
