Version 6.60 Release Candidate 3 Available...

Postby dexter » Thu Jul 02, 2015 11:54 am

More minor fixes in Release Candidate 3. Getting closer to production release.

Changes:

  • Fixed issue where doing a "Save as" of the configuration resulted in a blank NBI file.
  • Fixed issue where deleting a header download from the Download List didn't actually cancel the download.
  • Fixed the Add to top of Download List function.
  • Fixed issue where files already in the download list from RC1 show bad paths on upgrade to RC2
Download link is on the Newsbin Beta Page.

The problem still exists. Now the default path is C:\Binaries\Nzbs\

However

My configured paths in the options are below :

Nzb Watch Folder : C:\Binaries\Nzb\
DL Folder : C:\Binaries\$(GROUP)\
UnRar Folder : C:\Binaries\$(GROUP)\

How NB decided this nonexisted path of C:\Binaries\Nzbs\ is a real mystery

Yeah, that's as close as it's going to get I believe. The issue is that the group information for the files inside the NZB isn't encoded in the download list DB but all NZB's get put into a database inside the NZB folder of spool_v6.

New files you add to the download list should get the proper group encoding.

If so, I'll wait to finish my dl list, than I'll install RC3 and try it with new files

Thanks

Yeah your setup is the only one I couldn't get to work properly. People who use "NZBFILE" are fine.

I still have issues with how NBP now uses the 'download to folder named for subject' option when selecting multiple discreet files / file sets. i.e. increase in number of top level folders & internal nested folders per item instead of all items in single folder; numerous empty folders; par sets treated as discreet files. As I think you already know.

Am occasionally seeing the dupe detector wrongly reject files which have different names & post dates.
As far as I can tell they are not obviously similar but are routinely kicked to the failed list as dupes. :?

The dup detector doesn't look at filenames. It just looks at the content of the download. I PM you'd about it.

Hiya,

Anyway to remove or change the color of the horizontal grid lines in the newsgroup view? I'm finding it really hard to read with each post separated by a white line. It's actually giving me a headache when reading a lot of posts.

Thanks,

Jim

I don't like the grid lines either. There is a setting to show (or not show) them but it doesn't work for me. They are always turned on with the setting checked or not.

I have black grid lines... You guys using some dark color scheme?

I agree, grid line setting isn't doing anything. Thanks.

Ok, if you uncheck "Show Grids" in the view menu then restart Newsbin, they should be gone.

I'm not sure why it's not instantaneous yet.

That setting seems to only apply to group list tab, when I view a group tab the lines are still there.

Hy,
I need to stay in RC2 because since this version NB crash at lanching.
I try RC3 & 4 but it's still the same.
I think my XP 32bits is too old.

It's probably a corrupted database file. I'm running RC4 on 32 bit Win XP with no problems.

Are there any files still in your download list when you try to run RC3 or RC4? The only change I see that might be giving you problems is the one that fixes up path information in the download list. If you clear your download list in RC2 then run RC4, it should work.
