There have been a number of minor issues identified once 6.70 hit production. We are addressing those issues in this 6.71 version. Here is the first Beta. If you are running 6.70 and bumping up against any of the issues that have been resolved below, please give this one a try and confirm that the issue really has been resolved.

• Fixed issue where the $(FILENAME) path variable was yielding inconsistent results when processing NZB Files.
• Fixed issue with Age dropdown persistence.
• Fixed issue with searching in Local mode ssearching through all groups, not the specific groups if selected.
• Fixed issue where failed files would sometimes not have a reason listed in the Error column of the Failed Files tab.
• Fixed issue where files that have no content weren't failing immediately.
• Fixed issue where sorting the Files list was bringing back deleted rars.
• Fixed issue that occured if a PAR downloaded due to retries is missing parts, it was preventing other PARS from downloading.
• Fixed issue with how Watch List Search was handling incomplete files. They weren't becoming complete. Now only shows complete files.
• Fixed issue where disabling AutoPAR also disabled retries.
• Changed "Group Empty" error to actually list the group that was found to be empty.
• Tweaked file completion calculations to be more accurate.

Still showing v6.70 for dl. It is a different size from my original dl of 6.70. Was there a change?

I installed it - no change still Newsbin v6.70 build 4600.

I installed it also still build 6.70 build 4600. Was just wondering if there was any change due to the slight file size difference from the original dl of 6.70 Final. On to 6.71 beta now and see how that works out.

Show as as 6.71b1 build 4637 for me.

Did a "Test Download Files" on a post (RAR file with 49 parts and 8 par files). Beta 1 created 52 zero byte files in the download folder (the 49 RAR parts and the 3 smallest pars). I don't know the results of the "test" as it was removed from the "Downloading Files" tab as soon as it finished (it also finished very fast). Going back to 6.70RC1.

Dex and I both tried the free XSUsenet account and server and had no issues.

XS free needs to be renewed once a month. Wonder if you lapsed?

No that is not the issue did go back to 6.70F and there is no problem

XSusenet is another provider the XSnews wich i am using

1 - In the server options, you might disable "XFeatures" and see if it makes a difference.

2 - In the same place you might try checking "Use Body".

"Show Server Commands" isn't working in B1. I might have to get you a B2 so we can tell which command it is. I suspect it's "XFeatures" though.

Had the same problems with SSL-News and Usenet.Farm giving the same errors. Had to go back to 6.70

$(FILENAME) worked correctly though in 6.71

XFeatures did the trick but it worked in 6.70
