An error is being returned from all my servers.
XFEATURE COMPRESS GZIP in the, Active column.
500 i don't understand that command in the, Download Headers Column.

I uninstalled Newsbin and deleted ALL references on my PC, re-installed and added the servers, but still no go.
6.71B1 Build 4637

Edit.
Reverted to 6.70B10 Build 4576 and problem has gone !

You can turn off XFeatures in the advanced options of each server.

That's what I'd do for now. 6.70 turned it off automatically for you.

What is Xfeatures ?

For servers that support it, it permits up to 10 times faster header downloads by compressing the data before sending it to Newsbin.

The error is happening because Newsbin is asking the server "do you do XFeatures?" The server is supposed to return a 400ish error but keep going. Some servers for some reason return a 500 error which means "fatal error - disconnect".

In 6.71B2 I've re-enabled the "automatic disable" feature. I haven't gotten a good read yet on whether it works. All of my servers support XFeatures.

Usenet.Farm only works with that feature turned off.
Xennews was ok sometimes, but not others.

Might be interesting to try it with B2. Re-enable XFeatures and see if it turns itself off.

Using B2, newsbin automatically disabled XFeatures for SSL-News and Usenet.Farm, so these now seem to work ok
