Since B4 I keep getting:

If I rollback to B3, I don't have any problems downloading the same files.

What do you see in the logging tab when it fails?

What security software are you using?

Nothing... a few 430-messages, but that shouldn't be the problem, because the 3 other servers do have the files.

Windows Defender (for years now)...

How many retries do you have set?

Files with PARS don't typically get failed but files without PARS will get failed when the retry count is exceeded.

10

There are PARS available (also with the downloads earlier that encountered this problem). Needed a little bit of repair, but as far as I could see only a few chunks.
Even after selecting [Download/Bypass Filters] the download halted and failed. Strange.

10's a bunch. I normally recommend 2. I'll have to think about it. I'm not sure why you're getting failures just yet.

I usually set it to only one, but due to the failure I increased it.

It surely will have nothing to do with it, but could a bad HDD cause this problem? An HDD reaching it maximum load/unload cycle-count?
Also a problem with flushing torrents. HDD to busy? Or a problem caused by Astraweb? A lot of 430-messages in the log now. If I disable Astraweb, it's clean.
If you need any info... just ask (Windows 10 x64).

Hi,
I reported the file retry count exceeded a week ago in the last Beta cycle. It still happens and as I said, if I retry the entry from the "failed files" tab, it will finish and UnRar the file if I only retry one or two items at a time.

I haven't been able to reproduce it so, I haven't had much to say about it. It suggests that no pars have been applied to the download. Are you seeing the par counts in the download list
for these files?

As an experiment, you might try setting "Aggressive" mode in the autopar options and see if it makes a difference (or turning it off if it's on).

It is more strange than that. If I use Winrar on the files, I can extract the items in the winrar set. When I add to download the files in the failed files tab, NB just goes to the chunks and does it thing and extracts the items. Again, if I add more than 2 to 4 files, some of them return to the failed files tab.

How about adding some more retries and see if it makes a difference.

Also you could try "Pause Download during unrar/repair" in the performance options and see if that makes a difference.

Apparently "Pause Download during unrar/repair" in the performance options" did the trick. I made the change.

Just downloaded about 30 files and no problem, before the change, most of them would have failed. OK, this is a single test, but I think it fixed it. Thanks.

I'd call this more of a work around than a fix. What it means I think is that it's taking so long for the unrar/repair to run that the files are failing. I don't believe the retry counter should be running during unrar. It's something I'll look at.

If you're not using build #4766, I'd re-run the installer to grab it.

I'm getting the same error. Looks like the server is down.
