6.80 RC6 - posts listing of a group

Postby Calahan » Fri Mar 09, 2018 7:59 am

First thing what I saw is, when I open a grouped set (clicking on +), which was downloaded completly before, only the first .rar file shows as downloaded.
All other files in the set have the status "idle/old [1 file]". Is that a bug or a feature? ;)
In the past, all files from the set showed up as downloaded. RC5 had that too, but I think not on all sets as now, only on a few.

Second thing is when you open such a grouped set and close it, the last line of the set is not deleted from the list.
So everytime you click on + and close, click on + and on close, you get a new line (the last line from inside the set).

+ group 1
+ group 2

So clicking on + of group 1 you get:
group 1
group 1 file 1
group 1 file 2
+ group 2

then after close you see:
+ group 1
group 1 file 2
+ group 2

A new click and close and you get:
+ group 1
group 1 file 2
group 1 file 2
+ group 2

And so on...

Update:
RC6 has downloaded a set now and all files in that set have status "Downloaded [1 file]".
When I open the set with + and close it, no line is added to the list.
It seems to happen only with older downloaded sets, where only the first line shows "Downloaded [1 file]" instead for all downloaded files.

I just fixed the extra line thing. I must have reversed the delete order.

It just stores the first file in the "Downloaded" database in order to prevent flooding the DB . There's an in memory cache too. That's why you see it show downloaded in the current session.

I was also about to report this bug in RC6 about appearing indented lines - every time after expanding - collapsing posts, in my case - in the search tab.
So, I guess it is already fixed.

No! RC6 did not fix this bug!
After expanding / collapsing, the last rar part is shown indented below the main collapsed post. It is added after each expanding / collapsing.
So, after four such operations I now have the main post and four indented identical .part41.rar items below.
Always the last one, it does not matter which one was selected when expanded - not sure if it was the same way in RC5.

+Some Post
    Some Post.part41.rar
    Some Post.part41.rar
    Some Post.part41.rar
    Some Post.part41.rar

A few posts above this Quade mentioned he has found the problem (which is present in rc6) and has fixed for the next release.

I know.
Or rather I knew.
But after a few days passed I just assumed that I am now using a newer RC, so I thought it was in RC5 - even though the topic itself says RC6.
Turns out - it is still the same RC as before.
Sorry :)

There is no DELETE button, unfortunately. I guess, I could just change the text to something else, but then your comment would become out of place. So I'll just let that embarrassing post remain…

With RC7 Expanding / Collapsing not only leaves one line, now I often have to expand and collapse again to collapse all lines!
After that you'll see a "-" sign on an collaped set on the next line. Clicking on the "-" it gets a "+" again.

It seems you have to expand 2 sets. So expand set 1 then expand set 2 (below set 1) then collapse set 1.
All lines of set 1 are still there and set 1 shows a "+" sign and can be expanded again.

Dex and I confirmed that expanding multiple and then contracting them out of order is problematic. Thanks.
