The only change in Beta 5 is to remove the popup dialog that was leftover from a debugging session. That and it was built using the latest MS Visual Studio 2019. You can download it from the Beta Page

It is inpossible to register whit beta 4 and 5. Beta 3 working fine.

Further i found i think a bug? I have a 750Mbit fiber connection. Whit version 6.81 the downloads starting at full after opening the nzb. The beta, if i open a nzb, my fan makes allot of noise and the download is almost 0 for a minute of so. Than the download goes full speed, but after a while my fan is making allot of noise again and the download is again almost 0 . After a minute the download is going full speed. So, something is changed between 681 en 6.82 beta. I hope you understand what i mean. My english is not so good.

My specs are: Core i7 7700K, 16Gb RAM, downloading on a Samsung M2 960 EVO 500GB.

Agreed, registration is broken. If you register an older version then install this version, it'll work.

different behavior between v6.81 final and v6.82b5.

downloading an nzb in 6.81 keeps trying and still pieces coming available if the download is not yet fully available.

with version 6.82b5 it is aborted and removed from the download list

Regards,

Jan

I think that is by design at the request of many users to not keep trying with missing pieces!

If you want the old behavior you can try increasing the percentage of files that are allowed to fail before a download is aborted.

OK, so after reading about the hash issue with registration I decided to install 6.82b2 and did the registration successfully (had to reinstall Windows 10 ProWS a few days ago and have been putting off installing NBP till this morning) and it loaded up with all the restored data files without any issues. And then once I was confident everything was good and working I did the 6.82b5 upgrade and of course I get the hash issue.

I presume it's not a big problem since the program still functions as I expect it to but I get that dialogue when I start up the software. Is it safe to say it's not a big issue and it'll be resolved at a later time ?

Thanks...
bb

You should never see a "hash" error at all of you're running B5.

with version 6.82b5 it is aborted and removed from the download list

So is the issue that it's not on your server yet? The download end up on the failed list, you can just add it back to the download list. I'm wondering how often this happens and if I need some sort of special code for this situation?

I did an uninstall and then gave this one last shot, installing 6.82b1 this time cleanly (no Newsbin folders on the drive at all, nothing in the Registry either that I could track down), registered it properly without issues, shut it down, then installed the 6.82b5 upgrade, upon startup after it settles I get this (some info redacted of course):

I can live with it as long as it's not causing any actual issues with use of the program, and so far I haven't noticed anything odd at all and NBP works as expected so, aside from that there's not much else to complain about really but then again NBP has always been awesome since day one anyway. :D

You can just ignore it. It's another debugger message that should have been removed. It'll be removed in B6 which also fixes registration.

Is there an option to remove the newly added categories to the path & filename?
H:\Downloads\News\a.b.goat\Cat tv ;<tv.show>.SxxExx.720p.WEB.x264-TBS
The nzb was added my Sonaar.

There isn't. That path is only for Sonarr so it should go away once Sonarr snatches unrared files and moves them to the sonarr controlled folders. Are you not letting sonarr manage the files?

Yes Sonarr is managing the files. It has been for a few years. I am getting a lot of "Download wasn't grabbed by Sonaar, Skipping" now.
Which means Sonaar isn't importing the files.
