Block specific file download (like duplicate detection)

I have some filters setup to start auto-downloading files. There are some files that I don't want (such as lower resolutions), so I cancel, but as soon as they are reposted they start downloading again next time I grab headers. The filenames change, so it isn't something I've been able to filter efficiently.

Can we have a feature to take an existing download in progress (better if it can look at paused and only d/l enough for the signature, or even the headers to right-click) and add the signature used to the duplicate detection so it is skipped in the future? I guess a specific user-ignored signature list could be handy, but the existing dupe detection would be fine for me. Bonus if you post the spec for this so I could manually scan files I downloaded. I've lost/corrupted my signature.db3 a few times in the past.

On the flip side, what is the best method for forcing a download when the signature says you already have it? Download Bypass-filters from the failure list?

Don't most files encode the res in the subject?

One thought is that since most legit posts include the resolution, instead of filtering things out, why not just filter IN the resolution you want?

I can think about the "partial file download add to signature cache" thing. It's doable as long as the first chunk of the file has already downloaded.

They do, but sometimes only one is available. i.e. I only take 720 if that's the only option, but if 720 AND 1080 I want the 1080 and not to keep getting the 720.
