Linux Mint

Postby bertm » Sat Oct 08, 2016 6:57 pm

I recently went to Tomshardware.com to "vent" about Microsoft. A user responded recommending Linux Mint. Solely based on Linux e-book readers I am not a fan of Linux. Ironically the e-book readers had the same problem I am finding with Windows 7 Explorer/File Manager - slow and lacking multitasking.

Any opinions on Mint? If "thumbs up" will Newsbin work?

I like Lubuntu personally. It feels like XP or Win7 and runs great on lower end hardware. I had decent luck with the PDF readers too.

The computer in my garage runs Lubuntu.
