Resetting Download filters

Postby tbutka » Tue Mar 07, 2017 7:01 pm

My old machine got ransomeware & I dumped it. New Win10 box works fine with GigaNews and newsbin, but there is some automatic filder that stops me from downloading files that I have previously downloaded. Don't know if this is a GigaNews or Newsbin feature, but I would like to do some sort of reset so that I can re-download some of the music files that I had on the old machine. Sigh.

thx,
Tony

1 - In the options select "Open Data Folder"
2 - Exit Newsbin.
3 - Delete "Signature.db3"
4 - Restart Newsbin.

This will completely delete the memory of prior downloads.

You can also disable the duplicate file checker in the options.

Good to know. It worked. I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed newsbin with search and giganews as a combo
