Version news

Postby nbwul62 » Tue Jan 16, 2018 2:36 am

Just did a clean install of Windows and was looking for the latest version of Newsbin to install.
Most probably I have been overlooking it, but I couldn't find information about it.
That's to say, at least it isn't in the 'Announcements'-section.
A Google search showed that v6.80 beta (dtd January 3, 2018) is the latest version(?) - found at

Positively meant suggestion: maybe add this into Announcements?
BTW - it ends up there with 'Version 6.72 Production Release' whereas v6.73 Released April 4, 2017 is the latest stable version.

Anyway, just a suggestion.
Keep up the good work!

Beta's are versions for the adventurous. They have bugs that are being worked through. The current release is 6.73 and it's on the main download page.

We update the MOTD when we think a beta is good enough to try.

I'll point your comment out to Dex and see what he thinks.
