6.80B9 B4978 - ERROR WorkerThread Died & ERROR FileIOThread

Postby RankoSaotome » Sat Oct 07, 2017 1:57 pm

Hello.

Today I updated to the new announced Beta 6.80B9 B4978.

Since then NBP seems to stop after some time and when I look in the Logfile.txt I find lot of entries that say:
[10/07 10:27:20] ERROR WorkerThread Died: GigaNewsEurope
...and...
[10/07 10:38:01] ERROR FileIOThread - internal crash

Then I try to exit NBP and when I restart it seems to work fine.

Up until now it happend twice since I updated.
Please excuse my typos. I am not native english speaking.

The first thing dex and I ask when weird things happen is whether it's an AMD....

What kind of drive is the download and data folders on? I wonder if this is some disk spin up issue.

I did not see the System requirements mentioning AMD was not useable.
And if the source of the problem would be AMD: why does this problem not appear in the earlier versions?

2 different SSD.
There is no HDD spinup Problem with this drives.
And the System did download hundreds GB of Data earlier.
Suddenly the download stops and later in the Log I find the mentioned Errors.

It's just an observation we've made over the years. That AMD's aren't exactly like Intel and that they tend to have weird problems we don't see on intel platforms. Plenty of people use Newsbin on AMD systems. It's just that the oddest and sometimes hardest to figure out issues tend to be on AMD.

Suddenly the download stops and later in the Log I find the mentioned Errors.

Right now I'm just trying to characterize what you're seeing. I don't have much of an opinion yet.
