edit NewsBin.nbi file

Postby unyquy » Mon Jan 23, 2017 1:33 pm

I'm not very technically savvy and I would like to know how to edit the NewsBin.nbi file with wordpad. I can find the NewsBin.nbi file but I can't seem to open it. Thanks for any help. Unyquy

Right click "Open With..." then it should give you a list of programs and from this list you should be able to pick "WordPad".

I'd make a copy of the NBI before you start changing it so you can revert to a known good one. Newsbin has to be closed before you edit.

When I right click "Open With..." I get the following message

"This program does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

Should I therefore just add the suffix ".rtf" to the NewsBin.nbi file?

You can edit it as a RTF if you want. Make sure you don't save it with any formatting though and rename it to NBI when you're done. Newsbin won't load it unless it ends with NBI.

When I right click and open with, I can click on something that gives me a list. Maybe you can find a youtube video on how to do it.
