Extracting Encoded Files

Postby kennyh42 » Fri Jan 05, 2018 3:22 pm

A poster with various Bob@**** e-mail addresses posts files on alt.binaries.movee with titles such as ha3day3egmzdsylcgy3wintg2gcojw. Reading the post body will show the movie/avi/mkv file within the file. I am not certain how to extract these files, because they are multi-part posts but each has a different file name and WinRar doesn't recognize that. Can you help me?

Maybe I should post this somewhere else in the forum?

No answers.

I upgraded to the latest beta, now I can't see the name of the rar file inside the post.

Basically these are NZB only downloads. They're spread out over many groups and some of the subjects are completely bogus so it's difficult to combine them into usable files. Dex and I keep looking at them but haven't quite found the trick yet.

I uninstalled the latest beta and went back to version 6.73. Now when reading the post body of these postings I can again read the rar inside the file without having to download it.
