Version 6.82 Beta 3 Available...

Postby dexter » Tue Mar 05, 2019 11:08 pm

If you are looking for Beta 2, it didn't exist. Quade double incremented the beta number. As for this Beta 3, we reversed a change from Beta 1 that impacted how Load NZBs worked. Also made some cosmetic fixes.

Summary:

  • Fixed issue where column sizes would not save on high DPI screens.
  • Changed the "Load NZB" button to always load into a post list. People were unhappy with it honoring the "Download Loaded NZBs" option.
  • Made format changes to Ctrl-R results, now quotes found filenames.
  • Added option to choose to apply or not apply filters on manually loaded NZB files. It's under Options -> Settings -> NZB Options.

Did this fix the problem of files with no pars not unraring if downloaded by Sonarr?

I must have missed that report. I'd say there were no specific changes for that. I assume they fail instead of unrar?

Yes. I sent an email with an NZB file and did get a reply a while ago saying it failed because it had no pars. Some indexers have obfuscated files like that.

Thanks for adding in the switch to detect duplicates on nzb files, seems to work great. With so much obfuscation, I almost always use search engines to find content, and its nice to not accidentally download the same file twice.

Where is that switch? I don't see it under Settings or in the release notes.

It's in the NZB options.

Un-check the "Bypass filters for NZB" option. Took me a few seconds to figure that out as well.

I wouldn't mind renaming it.

I don't know when this was added, so perhaps just mentioning it in the release notes and emphasize the point about duplicate detection is good enough. Thanks!!

I have just done a reinstall (under wine) and restored my old data. But now every time I start NB up it shows the MOTD. Even though it is disabled.

You have to re-register. You can only disable the MOTD if you're registered. Don't forget to restart Newsbin.

I'd re-register then. Other than registration issues, I know of no other cause.

OK Strangely the MOTD has disappeared today. It was definitely there after a re-reg and restart yesterday.
Will monitor it.

Awesome—thank you for adding the "bypass filter" switch. :)

I welcomed the addition of auto-detecting passwords in files that share the password with the filename, i.e. filename ="12345678.mkv", password= "12345678".

This appears to have been dropped in b3, or at least it is no longer working for me. Anyone else?

Can you PM me some examples? It's not dropped on purpose. If it's in the NZB you can email a couple to "ts@newsbin.com"

Most of the time the password is encoded in the NZB Filename <nzbfilename{{password}}.nzb>

I tested this in B4 and it works. Because I don't have any sample, the next beta won't have a fix for this. The report is just a little late. If you can get me a sample. I'll make sure it's in the next.
