Download path changed

Postby tongueboy » Sun Jun 09, 2019 3:02 pm

My download path has always been E:\Downloads\$(LONGGROUP)\$(NZBFILE)\.
Since the update it no longer places the downloads into a group folder even though the path is the same.
It now simply places them in the main download folder by nzb name but not in group folders.
I believe this is the first time this has happened to me and everything remained the same on my end so it must be something in the latest beta version.
Just thought you might want to know.

How are you feeding NZB's?

I'm observing a related problem. Before the update, files would download to a.b.sounds.lossless. After installing 6.82B7, files download to alt.binaries.sounds.lossless. Path setting is unchanged ...\Usenet Downloads\main\$(GROUP)\. Is there a way to get back to the previous path naming?

I'll take a look. It sounds like it's finding a path that uses the "LONGGROUP" field.

That's what I thought too, but I checked and LONGGROUP does not appear anywhere in the path settings. I'm also getting an occasional spontaneous exit from B7. I'm going back to ver 6.81.

I've confirmed this issue. Fixed it and added a new unit test to catch it in the future too.

Thanks.

Turns out the spontaneous exit was caused by Bitdefender thinking NBp was "behaving like ransomware." I added the exception to BD and that problem is solved. Need an emoji for slapping my 4hed.
