Did any drive letters change or NAS drive drop out? Typically that means Newsbin can't open the output file when it has to assemble files out of chunks of the file. It can download the chunks because they end up on the data folder. It's the download folder that seems to be missing.

Those seem fine. When you're downloading are you downloading as "John"?

As and experiment, you could exit Newsbin, right click shortcut to start it and select "Run as Administrator". If that fixes the problem then that means there is some permissions problem preventing Newsbin from writing to that folder.

Those don't seem like binary files.

C:\Users\John\Documents\Newsbin\$(DOWNLOADPATH)\

How about changing this fo

C:\Users\John\Downloads\

Save and restart Newsbin then try again. It looks to me like you're trying to save plain text posts not actual files.
