Restart newsbin 6 and the downloads start from scratch

Hi,

If I shutdown and restart the newbin software, a lot of the time it will restart all the downloads from scratch.

Any idea how to fix this?

Is it really starting from scratch or just confirming what is already on disk? The revised downloading mechanism's in V6 no longer have this info stored (the cost of maintaining the info was too high in performance terms). If you expand an entry and watch it carefully, I suspect that you will find that Newsbin is just checking the first chunk of each file to confirm that it is still there, and assuming it is it will then immediately mark the rest of the file as complete.
