When I click download latest headers NB downloads all the headers for all my groups back to 2008

I obviously have a setting wrong, but I'm not sure which one.

and how do I get rid of all the old headers without opening each group and showing the headers and marking them old and deleting them.

I know this is NB 101 but I haven't had to do this in years and I forget

thanks

Did you upgrade or reinstall? Sounds almost like you re-installed. I test upgrade with every beta and at least for me, it didn't redownload any headers. It suggests either that your data folder was wiped before re-install or it thinks it's a new install.

1 - I'd set the "Download age" to 30

2 - In the options select "Open Data Folder". If you then deleted the "spool_v6" folder, it'll wipe out all the headers.

3 - With these settings it should download the last 30 days worth of headers for each group. Make sure you you don't "download all.." because it does "all".

You might want to search you drive for any other "spool_v6" folder. If you find one or more, it suggests your current data folder isn't the same as it once was.
