Start of another beta cycle. This one might be pretty quick. Someone discovered some NZB's that didn't work and this beta is the fix.

There are some cosmetic issues that have been reported too but they're not fixed in this beta.

Edit. Converted this post to B2. TB on IRC detected a password problem in B1 so. I fixed it and here we are.

Edit2: Might have to right click "Save Link As" to download. I'm not sure why but I suspect it's because it's not SSL.

Will this beta cycle contain a fix for the years-long standing issue of the application locking up when downloading more than 200 smaller files (jpg, nfo, etc)?

Lockup how? Permanently or stall then continue?

I've since upgraded my CPU to a i9-12900K and rebuilt all software - with identical behaviour.

We also discussed it at the end of that thread with you replying saying "I just tried it. There was about 15 seconds of stall when adding 5000 images. It's on my todo list to figure out why but, there won't be any changes till the beta program starts up again."

Hence my question in this thread.

I was just looking at it. I added 2000 images and noticed some couple second stalls. Something is holding onto an internal lock too long when Newsbin is trying to add files to the download list. B2 is pretty much ready so, anything I do not won't fix it in B2.

Just a minor irritaion.
Auto sort isn't anymore. Normally when it had finished downloading the headers it would sort them alpha wise not in this new one.

You said at that time you could reproduce it, but it was too much for that beta and new version. Hopefully things changed.

I still have to use v6.82.

I never have other issues that seem to need to be fixed or get fixed, although I know they seem to be reproduced like this one.

Your link appears to broken?!?

Try right clicking and "Save link as". I was able to download it once but on subsequent clicks if didn't prompt me. Not sure why.

Just stumbled across an NZB file that the current beta version only downloads one part of...
installed the 6.90 Build 5524 and it loaded properly...

Send it to TS@Newsbin.com and I'll give're a try.
