Autoloading passwords

A few other NZB downloaders have the ability to just load the password from the password header inside the NZB that is one feature that would be nice wondering if that will be in the next version update?

Newsbin does that already.

If can find the password in the filename and in the meta data in the NZB.

If you find an NZB with password Newsbin doesn't handle, you can send me the NZB.

This works with the latest RC for sure. I don't remember how far back I implemented it.

Edit:

Newsbin doesn't add it to the password list. The password list is passe now. Instead it assigns the password directly to the download. You won't see it unless you check the properties of the download.

Well Shit!! I have never noticed that before. I have always just used the PW list Is there anything in settings that has to be enabled for it to work?

The problem with the password list is that the more entries you have, the slower Newsbin will operate. It's pretty intensive to try to find the one password out of a list of passwords that applies. The password list is useful if you have downloads that all use the same password and you keep the list trimmed down. Most downloads today have unique passwords that only apply to the specific download.

I just leave all my passwords in the list thanks for the tip. I will try a nzb with a password if I can't get it to work can I send the nzb to you and maybe you can see why it's not working It will be from a private group?
