Date Range header download?

Postby colskinet » Tue Oct 25, 2011 1:13 pm

Hi All

I'm trying to download just a set of headers within the last 35 days to gain access to a certain item. Is this possible or do I have to download all 2 billion headers for the group I'm wanting to access first, and then filter afterwards?

I've set my options to download for the last 35 days but it's still downloading all headers for some reason!

Thanks in advance.

Delete the file "Range.db3" for that group or right click the group "Post Store/Delete Stored Posts" to reset it to using "Download age" again. "Download Age" only applies the first time you visit a group or purge it.

Deleting the "Range.db3" is useful when you don't want to lose the existing state for the group. I suppose I could add a right click item to post storage to make it easier to do...

That would be very handy. I often browse the listings on binsearch.info etc and see something I like, but it's about 100 days old in a group I've never downloaded so often have to load a whole lot of irrelevant headers!

I assume this would only be in v6 of the program? I'm still on v5 but am happy to upgrade to the latest release for extra features :D
