Authentication problem with more than one computer

Postby bruce73 » Fri Jan 20, 2012 3:23 pm

Jonny, I'm having a problem setting up your app to work on both my machines. I can set the password on one and it works fine. When I set it on my other machine, it will work, but then I can't connect to the first one again -- either running NB at the same time, or later by itself. It appears that the password gets changed/corrupted, because I when view it in NB's settings, the encrypted value has changed.

Clearly, the remote is built to be able to access more than one computer on a network. Any ideas?

I have that setup myself so I know it works.

However, I also noticed one of the beta versions of 6.3 messed up the password, might that be the problem?

You might be right on that. I had the B3 installed when this problem started happening. I uninstalled it and reinstalled B2 to fix a separate issue I was having, and it seems to have solved this one as well.

I also noted that with B3, the password for the remote is shown as the encrypted value, whereas in B2 it's shown with ******. I don't know if that's terribly significant, but thought I'd mention it.
