As for waiting 12 hours...it's either doing to work or it won't. Waiting won't help.
Actually, at least for some of these archives, it is an "old problem". After Newsbin downloading & AutoPAR processing I have:
myFile.pt1.par2 = Needs Repair
myFile.pt2.par2 = RAR Decode
myFile.pt3.par2 = RAR Decode
myFile.pt4.par2 = RAR Decode
each par2 file covers 25% of the the RAR files
If I "Test" myFile.pt1.par2 (invoking QuickPar), it is OK. No repair needed. Thus, the message " Needs Repair" seems to be a "bug" in Newsbin?
Anyway, if I highlight myFile.pt1.par2 and click Refresh/Rescan*, it starts the File scan and then RAR decoding (w/o repairing). The RAR decoding is successful. myFile.pt1.par2 and the first 25% of the RAR files are thereafter deleted.
I understand that this situation occurs because the poster is breaking up the pars in 4 sets. However, it is difficult to force people to change their habits.
In any case, why aren't the remaining 75% of the RAR files deleted after successful decoding of the
complete set?
Edit:
*) Instead of pressing the Refresh/Rescan button, the results are identical if I press "Decode/Unpack" (again demonstrating that the "Needs Repair" status is incorrect).
