Technical support and discussion of Newsbin Version 6 series.

Hi
The option "Delete rars and pars on sucessfull unrar" is not honored when manual unrar occurs.
This may be linked to the fact I haven't ticked "Automatically UnRAR complete files:". If options are link, then sub-options should be greyed (ideally).
Version 6.33.1882
Thanks

That's the reason, yes. If Newsbin isn't being asked to unrar, then deleting after unraring can't happen. I'm unsure how that could even work - how would Newsbin know you un-rared it? I suspect that's the reason there's no grey-out. It's not a bad idea, though.

Hi DThor
Sorry, I wasn't very explicit regarding how I unrar'd the files.
I did a right click on the download set and then "Auto Par -> Unrar/Join files".
So that way, Newsbin should know about the action.
Thanks

I actually have an action item do add something like that. It's on the lower end of the priority list at this point. The problem is, if it's a multi-cd set it can break the set. Still I can think about it.

Yes, in that case, implementing the feature is more complex. I understand.
Thanks for the feedback.
