ERROR ReadFullDatabase: Invalid packet Format: Storage.db3

Postby mjpierce » Tue Jun 24, 2025 6:10 pm

Lots of threads on this but nothing I saw answers my question. Which Storage.db3? I have about 150 of them. I'm seeing this during update all headers.
If there is another release, could there be a more specific error message? It was my fault. I let the disk run out of space while downloading headers.
I now have the "MinFreeSpace" set to allow a comfortable margin.

It should be the one for the group that you're adding files from. There's a Storage.db3 for each group.

When you display posts, Newsbin loads enough to show it. When you add something to download, Newsbin has to pull a full dump of the file information from the DB so it can be written to the download list.

If it's for relatively recent files you might want to set the "Download Age" to cover it, right click the group, select "Post Storage/Use Download Age'" then download headers normally.

The DB3's are pretty robust. Corruption should be rare.
